Margaret "Peggy" Carter, known as Agent Carter, is a prominent character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
She is introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as a British Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent during World War II.
Carter works alongside Steve Rogers (Captain America) and becomes a skilled and respected agent. After the war, she faces sexism within the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR). She then becomes a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division), working with Howard Stark.
Carter's later appearances include her own TV Show, Agent Carter, where she tackles post-war missions and establishes herself as a strong and independent figure.
